This is the STEP 1 in the Data Recovery process.
First, we gather, together with the customers, the details and information available regarding:
- the causes and symptoms of the malfunction
- the type and the structure of data on the storage media;
Next, the importance of data is evaluated, also the type of data (e.g. text files, pictures, databases etc.);
After the evaluation, the storage media is taken into the data recovery lab and the customer is issued a service receipt;
